## Where would you like to start?

### I run surveys in Compass myself

[Using Compass](/knowledge-base/get-started/using-compass.md) has step-by-step help for building surveys, sending them, and reading your reports. If you set up users and settings for your organization, you'll find that here too.

New to Compass? Start with the 1-minute [Compass Overview](/knowledge-base/get-started/compass-overview.md) video.

### TalentMap is running our survey with us

[Your Managed Survey](/knowledge-base/your-managed-survey/getting-started.md) walks you through the 7 steps of your project with us. For each step, you'll see what happens, what you'll have at the end, and how long it takes.

### I'm a manager or leader looking at our results

[Managers & Leaders](/knowledge-base/managers-and-leaders/start-here/managers-and-leaders.md) helps you make sense of your team's results, talk them through with your team, and pick a few things to work on.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Doing both?** If we run your main survey and you build your own surveys too, use both sections. They link to each other.
{% endhint %}

## Taking a survey or a 360?

### I got a survey invitation

The [Survey Participant FAQ](/knowledge-base/help-and-updates/survey-participant-faq.md) covers what people ask most, like whether the survey is confidential and whether you can save your answers and finish later.

### I'm part of a 360

Start with the [360 Overview](/knowledge-base/managers-and-leaders/your-360-feedback/360-overview.md). It's in Managers & Leaders, along with help reading your 360 report.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Can't find what you need?** Chat with us using the chat icon in Compass, or email <support@talentmap.com>. If you have a TalentMap Project Manager, they're your first call for anything about your program.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.talentmap.com/knowledge-base/get-started/start-here-find-your-path.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
