# Minimum Words & Random Sample

Within comment settings, you can adjust the minimum number of words to only display comments over a certain word count and/or create a sample of comments per item for the reader.

1. Go to **Reports** > **Comments**.
2. Click the **Gear** icon near the top right corner of the page.
3. Within preferences you can adjust the minimum number of words shown, display [dimension](https://docs.talentmap.com/knowledge-base/step-5-analyze-interpret-and-report/compass-reports/comments/comment-settings/comment-dimension-score) and / or [sentiment](https://docs.talentmap.com/knowledge-base/step-5-analyze-interpret-and-report/compass-reports/comments/comment-settings/sentiment-analysis) scores, show a random sample of comments per item and auto-translate text.

3. Click **OK** to view the updated comments.
4. Changes to preferences are displayed in the comment count title. Note: when adding a random sample, this will not change the display of the comment count or word cloud.

### **Export a Random Comment Sample**

To export a random sample of comments, check the random sample box in preferences then click **Export**. Text of the random sample will appear on the table of contents page on the PDF.<br>
