Import Stop Words

Stop words are commonly used words that are ignored when displaying search results within a word cloud. Words can be added by .csv import. Adding stop words will help improve the effectiveness of words that are displayed for users that have access to the tool.

This feature is only available to Site Admins. When stop words are added by a Site Admin they are no longer visible for all report viewers.

1. When importing a list, ensure that you have save the file to .csv format.

2. When creating a list of stop words, ensure that each word is placed in a single row in Column A of the file.

1. When uploading the list, Compass will detect any duplicate words that are already included as stop words.

2. To remove a stop word (add it back to word cloud), click the X next to the word.

3. You can search for stop words using the search bar in the word cloud settings window.
